Arguably the most coveted of all the jewel orchids, Macodes sanderiana is a stunning foliage plant. The leaves have crystalline and sparkly veins that look like gold flecks of lightening bolts have been threaded into them. These stunning foliage plants have amazing leaves with iridescent vines and tiny flowers are completely different to any other orchid..They are native to Java, Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo, Philippines and the southern islands of Ryukyu. They can be found growing in swampy forests, lowland forests and on mossy rocks, in forests where the dry season is not very long and the humidity is high. 

Join us in this new workshop to learn how to create a specialist Terrariums to replicate their natural environment. A closed glass containers will allow both heat and light to enter a terrarium generating conditions that create condensation and photosynthesis both vital aspects of plant growth. 

All materials are provided in this Workshop including Glass Jar, Jewel Orchids x 2, Pebble, Companion Plants (Fittonia or Ferm dependant on availability), Moss and Gravel including plants will be provided to create your own amazing world .

Light refreshments and beverages will also be provided.
